We want to see our employees develop on many levels
For over 50 years, Fjällräven has produced pioneering, functional outdoor clothing and equipment and we have always kept our spirit of innovation, curiosity and deep commitment to outdoor life. Most of our success can be attributed to the fact that we have been able to put together a fantastic team of competent and motivated people. In order to carry on being an attractive employer, we give our employees a good working environment, challenging tasks and good opportunities for development.
The outdoors as a classroom
Our employees’ own experiences from the outdoors are important. We therefore encourage them to actively use our products when out on their own adventures, and during our regular training sessions we further develop their knowledge of equipment and spending time outdoors.
Every winter we go on a trip where we travel through a winter landscape and test clothing, backpacks, tents, and sleeping bags. We also have training sessions on winter outdoor life led by our equipment expert Johan Skullman. During the summer months we organise the hiking event Fjällräven Classic and many of our employees join in for the hike and take the chance to test our products in the Lapland Mountains. Our ambition is for all of our employees to take part in Fjällräven Classic, at least once.
Johan Skullman is responsible for our training courses in outdoor knowledge. As a former Swedish Armed Forces officer and Head of Research and Development for the Swedish Defence, Johan Skullman has spent long periods in all kinds of conditions ranging from tropical jungles to the polar region. Few people can match his knowledge of outdoor life.
